
“Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College is a high school in Brăila, Romania. This is not the only project in which we took part in this city. The college offers study programs in various fields, such as mathematics-informatics, technology, humanities, and economics. “Dimitrie Murgoci” National College from Brăila is based on values such as respect, tolerance and responsibility. It aims to train competent and active young people in society.
“Dimitrie Murgoci” National College from Brăila was founded in 1948 and is one of the traditional educational institutions in Romania. But its history begins in 1919 when the city’s first secondary school for girls was founded. This was located in a location rented by the City Hall. It was only in 1922 that the school moved its headquarters to the place where it is still today. In 1929, this institution ceases to be a girls’ high school and adopted mixed education.
Throughout history, the “Dimitrie Murgoci” National College in Brăila has been recognized for the quality of education and the outstanding performances of its students, thus contributing to the development of the local community.
In order to reach this result for the Murgoci Brăila National College, lighting fixtures were rhythmically installed on the surface of the facade. In particular, linear outdoor lighting fixtures from the Galaxy series with an adjustable fixing system were used so that they could be oriented at the desired angle. They were fitted with LEDs with a CCT equivalent to 3000K. In other words, the facade of the educational institute is illuminated with a warm colour temperature that highlights the colours of the wall finishes.
